Construction of substations for the Novolakskaya WPP in Dagestan is completed

Rosatom Renewable Energy is building a wind farm in the Republic of Dagestan. The first phase of the Novolakskaya Wind Power Plant (61 wind turbines with a total capacity of 152.5 MW) has been supplying electricity to the Russian power grid since December 2025. The second phase of the country's largest wind farm will be launched by the end of 2026, with an additional 59 wind turbines with a total capacity of 147.5 MW.

For Novolakskaya Wind Power Plant, Energia Yuga constructed two electrical substations. At Switchgear-1, two 110/35 kV power transformers T-1 and T-2 were installed (each with a capacity of 80 MVA), along with the wind power plant substation control building, and a 35 kV indoor switchgear consisting of 16 switchgear cells. At Switchgear-2, two 110/35 kV power transformers (each with a capacity of 80 MVA) were installed, as well as a 35 kV indoor switchgear building combined with the wind power plant general substation control building.

The Novolakskaya Wind Farm will provide the region with an additional source of clean electricity and improve the quality of energy supply to consumers.
