Works on the reconstruction of overhead power lines were carried out within the framework of preparation of the Volgograd Region for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
It was necessary to increase the size of seven overhead lines crossing the highway motor junction on the road to the airport. The assembly and installation of supports and wires took place at night, in difficult conditions: in the immediate vicinity of the working site there was a highway and a railway track, so the high-tech installation principle with application of the top-down construction method had to be used.
