Construction of the substation «Sportivnaya» is the contribution of «Energia Yuga» company to preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
A large-scale and high-tech facility, built just within a year, ensured reliable power supply to the Rostov Arena stadium and the entire left river bank zone of Rostov-on-Don.
«Sportivnaya» is an innovative substation with modern technologies and equipment. The 110 kV switchgear is made on the basis of an integrated gas-insulated switchgear (manufactured by Alstom company). The facility is equipped with an automated control system, which provides monitoring and control of technological and operational parameters; information on the state of all electrical circuits of the substation is gathered in real time mode.
Control of substation devices is provided both from a local workplace and a remote system control center. To complete the construction of the substation within a tight deadline, the work was often carried out around the clock. The builders' conscientious work was recognized with industry awards.
